  From the first time entered the doors of this church 5+ years ago I felt at home! We have a new pastor, he's been there 3 years and preaches the Word like nobodies business! We have a new worship service for the little ones, 5 - 11 that is wonderful to be a part of! I would recommend this church to anyone looking for a home church!

  This churh is truly amazing. I have been to many churches in the area and have always felt lost among the other people there. Not at Tumwater First Baptist though. Everyone there honestly wants to know how you are doing and if your going through a rough patch they are the first to listen and ask how they can help. Pasted Pope is very willing to talk and answer any questions you have, whether you've been saved for 50 years or are just finding your way. This church is a family and are more than happy to welcome someone new in. I couldn't recommend a better church family to worship with!!

  My family and I have been attending First Baptist Church of Tumwater since 1995.
  
  It is our church home which we love.
  
  Our newest Pastor Jacob Pope has brought the Bible into the 21st century as a beacon of light and a living guide of life.
  
  Jesus Christ is our heavenly leader.
  As the Apostle Thomas said after seeing Him alive having risen from the dead after His crucifixion "My Lord and My God" so do we as well.

  I have moved many times and I have found First Baptist to be very friendly and ready to help each other. Out of the 11 church's that I have attended there have been only 3 that were ready to give a helping hand. Not just a nice smile on Sunday. Plus we hear the Word on Sunday, it is not a talk the talk congregation but they walk the walk. Pastor Jacob is very friendly and always ready to listen will help if needed.

  It has been just over a year I started going to this church and 2 months now since I have become a member. I have been so blessed to have First Baptist Church of Tumwater be my enveloping, loving, graciously supportive family. They have been there for my family in our many needs this year and I encourage others to come to a service or event. Pastor Pope and his family are awesome.
